England - Dover to London

This is originally the site of Greenwich Palace, the Palace of Placentia which was built in the 1400s. Henry VII later took it over and expanded it but it fell into disrepair by the 1600s. The old Royal Naval College buildings were built here to serve as a Hospital for Seamen. Designed by Christopher Wren, the construction was completed in 1712. The hospital closed in 1869 and it became the Royal Naval College until that also closed in 1998.
